I am interested in the the cyclical forces of nature and how the Earth regenerates itself. All of my work goes through a stage of transmutation whether it is completely kinetic or found within the land on Earth.
My work is describing various forms of transformation while comprehending phenomenon and resonances of the unknown. I am combining simple geometry and textures to assimilate certain orders of the natural world. All of my subject matter goes through some form of a chemical experience or transformation whether its a rotting building becoming overgrown, geysers and magma bubbling up in the land, making painted and burnt chemical experiments or bending light.
Suzy Poling is an exhibiting artist and musician in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her work has been seen in Harper's Magazine, Beautiful Decay Magazine and LA Times. She work is represented at ZG Gallery in Chicago and DNJ Gallery in Los Angeles.
